Opencare is on a mission to untangle healthcare. We believe that preventive care is the best path to optimal health, so we work hard to make the patient experience as transparent, convenient, and comfortable as possible. Today, we are focused on connecting patients to exceptional dental care, which means only recommending the top 10% of dentists in the city. At every step of the patient journey -- from personalizing the initial search, to making it effortless to book appointments online, to ensuring the actual visit is as enjoyable as possible -- we make sure patients are properly cared for throughout the entire process.

  2. Patients love Opencare service and give us net promoter score higher than their iPhone and Netflix;

  3. Founded by serial entrepreneurs who have built and sold multiple companies;

  4. Team of “A” players that put culture first. https://www.opencare.com/culture/; and

  5. Funded by top-tier US venture firms and angels (8V, ff VC, Real Ventures, Collaborative Fund, and more).

Our product is the heart and soul of Opencare. It's through our product that we're able to impact the lives of each person that touches our platform, and change their healthcare experience for the better. As the only Product Manager at Opencare, you will be the CEO of our product - a critical role to our business. Your mandate will be to develop a world-class product that is unlike any of the competition and perfectly suits our users' needs, and to maximize our product KPIs that drive our company revenue and growth. You will be working with our team of dedicated senior engineers, our user researcher, and our product designer, to design, build, and validate innovative new product solutions.

More about the role:

  • Your primary responsibility is to drive product KPIs that directly roll up to company revenue: patient conversion rate from website visit to appointment completed, and patient NPS;

  • You will be primarily focused on our patient product, however as a marketplace, product development will include the clinic side as well;

  • You will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from user research to A/B testing, ruthlessly prioritizing to achieve the best outcomes;

  • You will make decisions based on data and modelling different outcomes;

  • You will run diverse experiments to find the global maxima of our KPIs, not restricted to the local maxima of our current implementation

  • You will hustle hard, think creatively, and do things that may not scale to solve the needs of our users;

  • You will provide leadership to the Product Engineering team and create team alignment on initiatives; and

  • You will work closely with the CTO to define the product roadmap and vision.

What you would NOT be doing (very important):

  • Gathering requirements from internal stakeholders and building to their requirements,

  • Organizing the development backlog,

  • Making gut decisions about our product instead of listening to users and data,

  • Working in isolation to invent new product ideas, and

  • Copying competitors to feature match them.

About you:

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a product manager at a consumer-facing startup;

  • You are an extremely effective communicator, and know how to adapt your communication style to users, engineers, designers, and founders;

  • Your ability to take initiative and own projects to completion is world-class;

  • You are disciplined, methodical, and organized;

  • You love talking to users of your product and analyzing market opportunities;

  • You make decisions based on data and pragmatic analysis, but are not afraid to explore moonshot solutions;

  • You work well with engineers in an agile environment;

  • You know SQL;

  • You have a strong understanding of A/B testing and statistical significance; and

  • You have worked with Mixpanel and Optimizely, or equivalent products.

Bonus points for:

  • A background in engineering or design

  • Being an entrepreneur

At Opencare, you'll have:

  • Limitless personal growth - we pay for conferences and training, set you up with mentors in the Silicon Valley, organize and host tech and digital health events, and more.

  • Equity options - everyone who works at Opencare owns a part of Opencare.

  • Competitive compensation - we don’t want you to worry about your bills, we’d rather you focus on changing the world.

  • Full health benefits - dental, vision, prescription drugs, massage. We'll hook you up with the best health providers.

  • Shiny new equipment - get the tools you need to be at the top of your performance.

  • Unlimited vacations & sick days - we work really hard, but we also make sure we have time to recharge.

  • Bi-annual company retreats to recharge and focus on personal & professional development

  • Healthy snacks and relaxing drinks - snack bar and fridge full of healthy snacks to keep you charged throughout the day, as well as some adult beverages to unwind at the end

  • Fun team environment - we share a passion for our work and also know how to have fun (office scooters, ping pong table, foosball, Jays & TFC games, team offsites, etc.)

  • Great downtown location

We’re looking for extraordinary individuals with a passion to make a difference, and the determination to make it happen!
